Hamer to Close LSU Flores MBA Distinguished Speaker Series Nov. 9

BATON ROUGE – Greg Hamer, CEO of B&G Food Enterprises Inc. – which operates more than 80 YUM! Brands’ Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC fast-food restaurants – will be the final speaker in the LSU Flores MBA Program’s Distinguished Speaker Series for this fall. The event is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 9, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Distinguished Leaders Lecture Hall, located in the auditorium of the Business Education Complex.

After serving three terms as president of the Bayou Chapter, Hamer, who earned his bachelor’s degree from LSU, became a member of the Louisiana Restaurant Association, or LRA, Executive Committee in 1996 and ultimately served as LRA State Board President in 2000. He has also served as president of the National Restaurant Association’s board and has been inducted into the Louisiana Restaurant Hall of Fame.

B&G Food Enterprises also runs a handful of Teriyaki Experience and Long John Silver restaurants and operates primarily in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The company is Louisiana’s largest Taco Bell franchisee.
