LSU’s Isiah Warner Recognized by American Chemical Society

BATON ROUGE –LSU Boyd Professor and Vice Chancellor of Strategic Initiatives Isiah Warner has been selected as the 2013 recipient of the American Chemical Society’s Award in Analytical Chemistry, a prestigious honor awarded by the world’s largest scientific society and one of the world’s leading sources of authoritative scientific information.  

Warner’s research involves fundamental studies in analytical chemistry as well as the development and application of new methods (chemical, instrumental and mathematical), for analytical measurements. He is a graduate of Southern University and earned his doctorate from the University of Washington. He has served LSU for 20 years as one of the leading experts in his field and as a mentor to hundreds of students.  He was recognized on the field at Tiger Stadium during the Washington game on Sept. 8 for his service to LSU and for his prestigious honor from the ACS.
