BATON ROUGE – The LSU Center for Academic Success will be offering four sessions of the Geaux Academic program this fall for all first-year students, including transfer students.
The hour and a half long sessions are designed to give first-year students the essential skills needed for a successful transition to college. Students will have the opportunity to learn note-taking strategies, tips on time management and test preparation. The workshops are free and no registration is required.
The first Geaux Academic workshop is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 17, from 2-3:30 p.m. in 143 Coates Hall. Other sessions include Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 1:30-3 p.m. in 132 Prescott Hall; Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 4:30-6 p.m. in 155 Coates Hall; and Thursday, Aug. 23, from 10:30 a.m.-noon in 225 Peabody Hall.
