BATON ROUGE – LSU Alumnus and Filmmaker-in-Residence Zack Godshall’s film “God’s Architects” is airing throughout the summer on the Documentary Channel. The next showing is Thursday, Aug. 2, at 7 p.m. CDT. Visit for other air times and more information.

“God’s Architects” is a documentary that tells the stories of five divinely inspired artist-architects and their enigmatic creations. The film details how and why these oft-marginalized creators, with neither funding nor blueprints, construct their self-made environments.

“God’s Architects” helped Godshall get recognized as the Louisiana Filmmaker of the Year - New Orleans Film Festival and Acadiana Filmmaker of the Year - Acadiana Film Festival. For more information on the film, visit

Godshall, the first Louisiana filmmaker to have two films selected for the prestigious Sundance Film Festival, makes fiction and documentary films, both short- and feature-length. Godshall, who graduated from LSU in 2002 in English and earned an MFA in film directing from UCLA in 2005, teaches in the LSU Honors College and Department of English.
