BATON ROUGE – LSU Chancellor Mike Martin and wife Jan hosted a reception at their home for members of the LSU College of Education Dean’s Circle on Thursday, Jan. 19. More than 50 alumni and friends of the college attended the event.

The chancellor, LSU Provost Jack Hamilton and Interim College of Education Dean Laura F. Lindsay presented the plans for the new College of Human Sciences and Education and its six schools: the School of Education, School of Human Resource Education and Workforce Development, School of Kinesiology, School of Library and Information Science, School of Social Work and the University Laboratory School.

Dean’s Circle members contribute $1,000 or more annually to the LSU Foundation for the benefit of the College of Education. Half of each membership gift is used to build an endowment. The remaining monies initiate new programs, support outreach efforts and provide flexibility for meeting student and faculty needs.
