BATON ROUGE – The sights, sounds and all the 19th century trimmings of Christmas time in the country come alive during the annual LSU Rural Life Museum's "A Rural Life Christmas" on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Musical groups, demonstrating artisans, storytellers and costumed re-enactors will be present to set the holiday mood. The day's festivities will conclude with a traditional bonfire, as it lights the way for Papa Noel's annual visit with the kids.
Admission is $7 per person, and children 10 years old and younger are admitted for free.
The event will be held at the Rural Life Museum at 4650 Essen Lane in Baton Rouge. For information, call 225-765-2437.
