Dr. Leonard Teel, author of the LSU Press book, "Reporting the Cuban Revolution," will visit the Manship School on August 31, 2017

Dr. Leonard Teel

Leonard Ray Teel, Ph.D., holds the position of emeritus professor at Georgia State University, where he taught for 32 years. During his tenure at Georgia State University, Teel founded the Center for International Media Education and co-founded the Arab-U.S. Association for Communication Educators.

With expertise yielding careers as both journalist and professor, Teel is the author of five books in journalism and history. His most recent book, Reporting the Cuban Revolution: How Castro Manipulated American Journalists, is a publication by LSU Press.

His current research and forthcoming book focuses on Arab civil society, grounded in his 15-year project promoting media-NGO cooperation on solutions for problems of poverty and injustice in the Middle East.
