In-State Registered Voters Change Registration Address

Would you like to change your voting district?

If you have changed residency outside of your parish after registering to vote, you are only eligible to remain registered and to vote in that parish for three months prior to an election. You must register in your new parish of residence.

  • If you would like to change your residency, go through the process of registering to vote. If you are registering to vote online on the Secretary of State's website or by mail, it will give you the option to put the parish that you were last registered in, enabling you to change the parish in which you are registered.
  • If you go to any of the options below to register, or to the Registrar of Voters office, the option will be offered to you.
    • Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles;
    • Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services;
    • WIC Offices;
    • Food Stamps Offices;
    • Medicaid Offices;
    • Offices offering persons of disabilities such as the Deaf Action Centers and Independent Living Offices; or
    • Armed Forces recruitment offices.
  • The last day to register to vote in the 2016 Presidential and Congressional Election is October 11, 2016.

Would you like to vote early?

    • Early voting begins at 8:30 AM on each day and ends at 6 PM.
  • Locations of each early voting polling station by parish can be found on the Secretary of States Website:
    • At early voting, the voter must present with them: a driver’s license, a Louisiana special ID, or some other generally recognized picture ID that contains your name and signature.
      • Voters with no picture ID may bring a utility bill, payroll check, or government document that includes their name or address but they will have to sign an affidavit furnished by the elections division in order to vote.

      • Where am I voting?
