Unified Applications

Unified Applications (UA) is responsible for the design and maintenance of the LSU A&M campus phone system and the administration of the cable television network.


The standard dial tone offering for faculty and staff is the Avaya 9611G voice over internet protocol (VoIP) set. VoIP offers a wide range of basic and advanced features.

Cable TV

CATV Cox Communications is the cable TV provider for the campus. 

University Offices
To request cable television service to a campus office, complete an Online Service Request Form. An outlet will be installed or activated for serviced buildings; unserviced buildings must be wired for cable connectivity. Please inquire about the most recent prices of digital or premium services.

Campus Residences
All residence halls are wired for cable television. Fees for standard, expanded basic cable (78 channels, including 6 LSU channels) are included the Residential Life room rate. Students can order digital or premium services through Cox Communications by calling 225-615-2005 or by completing the application included in the Cox brochure in housing packets.
