LSU Personnel started receiving phishing e-mails on September 27th, 2017 related to e-mail verification.
Subjects of the Phishing e-mail - "Hello" and "Hi"
Sender Name - Internal to LSU (Multiple users)
Sender e-mail address - Internal to LSU (Multilple e-mail addresses)
*Internal accounts can be compromised and used by malicious actors to send phishing e-mails, in order to appear more authentic.

The content of the message is (Links and other descriptors have been removed for security purposes):
We are currently upgrading our database and e-mail account center i. e homepage view, enhance security installations of new 2017 anti-spam and anti-virus software, large mailbox space. Kindly verify your e-mail within 24 hours or your e-mail will be temporarily suspended. CLICK HERE to verify your e-mail.
