Fusion 2019

On Sunday, February 24th, the LSU International Student Association hosted Fusion 2019. Fusion 2019 highlighted the talents of LSU’s international and domestic students alike, featuring a One Act Play, singing, dancing, musical performances, and a fashion show highlighting styles of dress from around the world. It also featured the four recipients of the LSU Alumni Association International Student Scholarships, which were announced and presented by Dr. Hector Zapata, Associate Vice Provost for International Programs and Meg Hoechsmann, Coordinator of Grants and Development.

Fusion is one of the most diverse events hosted on the LSU Campus. There was a Sri Lankan dance, a One Act play about an international student who tried to decide if he was going to stay in the US, an accordion solo, a dance performed by students from India and a fashion show. The fashion show featured dress from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, China, Indonesia, Nigeria, Sri Lanka and the Philippines.

After the performances, guests were encouraged to attend and enjoy an international food celebration at the International Cultural Center. Congratulations to the LSU International Student Association, the LSU Alumni Association International Student Scholarship winners, and to each of the performers for a very successful and enjoyable event.
