How to Apply

The LSU Abroad Portal will be your hub of information throughout the entire study abroad/away process. The portal will contain the detailed information you need about your particular program. To access the portal, click the button below.

Access LSU Abroad Portal

If you would like general information about the application process, however, please see the steps below.

Starting an Application

Haiti

Once you've found your program, click the Apply Now button on the program's page within the LSU Abroad Portal.

Take note of the application deadline and decision dates on the program page. You must complete the application by the deadline. You will be automatically notified of your acceptance status by email on the decision date. If your program is marked as having a rolling decision date, you will be notified as soon as your paperwork has been processed.

When you click the Apply Now button, you will be asked if you are an LSU student. Select the correct response, and you will either be asked to login via myLSU (for LSU students) or to create an external account (for non-LSU students). The system will ask you some personal and scholastic information. Once you have entered this information, you'll be taken to the application itself.

Application Paperwork

After you click the Apply Now button, the Portal will display all required application information in purple boxes. This information is program- and term-specific. If you have any questions, please email us at studyabroad@lsu.edu

There are three types of application documents:

  • Material Submissions are paper documents that can be printed and must be submitted to APA. The checkboxes on the documents will be marked upon receipt by APA.
  • Signature Documents are digitally signed by you through the LSU Abroad Portal.
  • Application Questionnaires ask questions required for application processing.

Once you've completed all the requirements and the checkboxes are all checked, this information is sent to the APA coordinator in charge of your program for processing.

Note: There will not be another Click here to Apply button. Your application is complete once you have finished all component parts.

You will be informed of your acceptance status on the decision date listed on the program's page. If your program is marked as having a rolling decision date, you will be notified as soon as your paperwork has been processed.
