2018 Paul C. Young Award
This year, the department received many excellent applications for the Paul C. Young
Award, which recognizes an outstanding senior Psychology major. The recipient of the
2018 Paul C. Young Award, Rainey Landry, is an outstanding undergraduate in Psychology
and she also happens to be the outgoing Psi Chi President. Rainey is a double major
in Psychology and Religious Studies. She has worked in Dr. Matson’s lab for the past
year, and conducted a research study related to stress between parents and children
with autism spectrum disorder that she presented at the 2017 Undergraduate Research
Conference at LSU. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and eventually
open her own practice.
