Joshua Myers is most interested in literary representations of the natural world, including but not limited to: landscapes and geography, depictions of flora and fauna, and exploring urban/rural and culture/nature dichotomies. He believes that ecocritical approaches to literature reveal how rhetoric can encourage environmental awareness and produce environmental activism.
