LSU Alumni Association built, occupies, and maintains an impressive eight-acre complex that includes the Lod Cook Alumni Center, The Cook Hotel, the Thelma S. "Sugar” Woods Building – the "Sugar Shack,” and the Jack & Priscilla Andonie Museum, known as the Andonie Sports Museum. The Association also undertook the funding and construction of the LSU War Memorial located on the Parade Ground.
All of these construction projects were funded entirely by private donations, not from the Association's endowment dedicated to students, faculty, and the University. And all were built with a common vision –to encourage and support continued participation of alumni with their alma matertoday, tomorrow, and "forever LSU.”
