Calling Volunteers!

We Need Help To Plant Trees

Sat, Dec 1, 9:00am-12noon

Shift 1: 9:00am-10:30am

Shift 2: 10:30am-12noon

Roll up your sleeves, sharpen your shovel, and join us to plant 178 trees along the northern perimeter of the arboretum on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 9:00am-12noon.  Be a part of fulfilling Emory Smith’s dream that Hilltop will become a “complete arboretum of native Southern trees and plants.”  We will be putting southern magnolia, sweet bay magnolia, spruce pine, wax myrtle, and star anise.  Pete Newton with Newton Landscape Group will pre-dig the holes and help us coordinate the tree planting activities. The Hodge Podge Volunteers will have coffee and energy boosting snacks ready for your enjoyment in the Imo Brown Complex in the Beverly Brown Coates Auditorium.
