Description: A person at the Interior Structure Fire Brigade Member will have the skills and knowledge to: utilize a pre-incident plan to respond to an on site emergency and to interact with mutual aid, operate in personal protective equipment (PPE) and self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), as a member of a team, attack an exterior fire, conduct a search and rescue operation, and overhaul a fire scene, function as part of a rapid intervention crew (RIC), gain entry into necessary areas during fire operations, operate master stream device, operate as a member of a team and extinguish a ignitable liquid fire and a flammable gas fire, operate as a member of a team and extinguish an exterior fire using special extinguishing agents, interpret alarm conditions for an alarm signaling system, activate a fixed fire suppression system, extinguish a Class C fire with a Class C agent and set-up and operate various ground ladders.
Requirements for Certification: Candidates shall be at least 18 years of age. Complete a practical skills examination with a "Passing" score. Complete an 100 question written examination with a passing score of 70% or higher
