2018 Freshman Orientation, Advising and Preregistration (FOAP) Information & Dates:
There are 12 sessions of fall freshman orientation, but not all colleges participate in each session. It’s important for your student to select a session when his/her intended major is offered.
Change of Major: If your student is interested in changing his/her major, please make sure this is done before registering for orientation. Students can change majors using myLSU (my.lsu.edu > Student Services > Application Status) or by emailing email@example.com with his/her full legal name, date of birth, and request. If your student chose to change your major after registering for orientation, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We can help your student sign up for an available session.
Attention: Students in Tiger Band and students participating sorority recruitment are encouraged to select sessions 1-11.

Up to two family members may pre-register to attend any orientation date that your student attends. Siblings who wish to attend Family Orientation should register in person onsite on the day of orientation by visiting the assistance table during check-in.
*Please note: Family Orientation is a separate program from the student orientation program. While family members and students will separate for part of the program, they will also have the opportunity to attend select sessions together.
If your student has already completed registration and would like to edit his/her registration to add family members, he/she should login to the myLSU account, and select the "Edit Family Registration" button.
Spring Invitational Family Cost: $60
Family Orientation Cost (for all other one-day programs): $50
Siblings at Orientation:
Siblings 12 years old and younger may attend Family Orientation free of charge.
