First Annual LSU Philosophy Ethics Conference

**Due to COVID-19 concerns, the LSU Philosophy Conference has unfortunately been cancelled.**

The Department of Philosophy and Ethics Institute invite papers for the 1st Annual LSU Philosophy Ethics Conference entitled “Speaking of Ethics: Thought, Discourse, and the Other.” The conference will take place March 13-14 at the French House on LSU's campus. The Keynote speaker will be Alexander Duff, from the University of North Texas, on "Heidegger and the Language of Politics." 

Submissions concerning any area of philosophical ethics, broadly construed, are welcome. Please send submissions of up to 3,000 words with abstracts up to 250 words to lsuethicsconference@gmail.com

Papers should be prepared for blind review in a .doc or .docx formatted in 12 pt. Times New Roman, 1" margins on all sides, footnotes (10 pt. Times New Roman), justified block quotes. Please title the email subject line "LSU Philosophy Ethics Conference 2020 Submission" and include your name, academic affiliation, email address, paper title, word count, and an abstract in the body of the email. Deadline for submissions is February 21st, 2020. 

Participants will be notified of accepted papers on February 28th, 2020. Presentation time slots will be twenty minutes each, with an additional thirty minutes for Q&A.
