CoE Faculty Honored at Fifth Annual Inventorship Showcase

BATON ROUGE, LA – A number of LSU College of Engineering faculty were honored at the fifth annual Inventorship Showcase hosted by the LSU Office of Innovation & Technology Commercialization. The event recognized innovation and inventorship between July 1, 2017, and June 30, 2018.

Mechanical Engineering Professor Guoqiang Li was one of four university faculty to receive the Excellence in Innovation honor. His research focuses on advanced polymer materials, including infrastructure composites, mechanics of composite materials, repair of composite materials, and self-healing composite materials.

Recognized for their patents obtained were:

  • Former LSU Chemical Engineering Assistant Professor James Henry and PhD graduate Mia Dvora—Whey Protein Hydrogels and Their Uses
