Why did you choose to attend LSU?
The moment I decided on LSU was right after Scholars Weekend. After being shown all the incredible resources and programs available at LSU, I knew this was the place I wanted to be. No other college offered me the incredible opportunities and the unique duality of large and small college experiences with the Honors College. 

What extracurricular programs are you involved in?
I work in a chemical engineering lab as an undergraduate researcher, I am a part of the Global Water Brigades Club and AIChE, and I am a member of the club water polo team. 

What is your proudest accomplishment at LSU so far, and what goals do you have for the remainder of your time at LSU?
I am so proud of simply being a Stamps Scholar and a part of this incredible community. My goals include to graduate as a chemical engineer with a GPA above 3.5, to study or research abroad someday, complete an internship, and to write and publish a thesis. 

How has your enrollment in the Ogden Honors College enhanced your LSU experience?
I’ve loved living in Laville so far, being surrounded by like-minded individuals who are both focused on academics and amazing people. I’ve loved the unique small and personalized feel of the Honors College along with incredible opportunities and classes that allow me to push myself and learn deeper. 

What are your future career aspirations?
I aspire to work as a chemical engineer, helping to ease the environmental crisis the world is currently in by developing and installing clean alternative energy solutions or researching and producing biodegradable plastics on a large scale. 

What would you say to the donors of LSU, specifically the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation?
I cannot thank LSU and the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation enough for this amazing opportunity and my ability to be a part of this organization. Stamps will greatly enhance my college experience and allow me to graduate with a degree in what I am passionate about, enabling me to follow my ambitions to change the world someday.  

Tell me about a fellow Stamps Scholar who has made a difference at your time here at LSU.
Sarah Glass, my Stamps and lab mentor, has been an extremely awesome resource in my first month at LSU. She has taught me so much already and been so helpful in answering my questions about college, Stamps, and chemical engineering. I am so grateful to have such an incredible mentor and friend.
