Thermodynamics students touring Cogen plant

Thank you to LSU Facilities, particularly Emile Fournet, for taking time to give a Cogen plant tour for Prof. Flake’s thermodynamics class. The Cogen plant has been operating for more than 20 years and provides over 20MW + steam and chilled water for our campus. Emile showed the class the gas turbine, steam turbines, boilers, heat exchangers, compressors, chillers, distribution systems and cooling towers. All of the processes we consider in class, but in a real world application. We are grateful to everyone at LSU Facilities for keeping us going for the last 112 years. Keep up the good work!
