Emerson VP of Business Development, Duncan Schleiss Gives Seminar on The Changing Role of Automation Systems in Today's Changing Economic Climate

The Department would like to thank Duncan Schleiss (middle), Emerson's Vice President of Business Development, for taking the time out of his busy schedule to come to LSU and give a seminar on "The Changing Role of Automation Systems in Today’s Changing Economic Climate." In his talk, Duncan Schleiss covered pertinent global trends and how a modern DCS is adjusting accordingly. Duncan shared his experiences on how a Modern DCS meets the demand for the Business Transformation promised by the Digital Transformation as the harbinger of the future. Also covered was Cyber Security, Open versus proprietary technologies, Role Centered design and Embedded versus Cloud Analytics.
