Doris L. Carver is a Professor in the Division of Computer Science and Engineering, College of Engineering at LSU where she holds a Dow Chemical Distinguished Professorship. She recently completed a three-year assignment at the National Science Foundation.
Previously, she served as Interim Vice Chancellor of Research and Economic Development, after serving as Senior Associate Vice Chancellor of Research and Economic Development, and Interim Dean of the Graduate School at LSU. Earlier, she held the position of Associate Commissioner of Sponsored Programs Research and Development at the Louisiana Board of Regents. She served as President of the IEEE Computer Society, member of the IEEE Board of Directors, and member of the Board of Directors of the Computing Research Association. Carver is both an IEEE Fellow and AAAS Fellow.
