LSU-Diversity Action Team

The LSU-Diversity Action Team was formed in February of 2011.  The objectives of the LSU- Diversity Action Team (LSU-DAT) are structured around a four point charge.  

 

The Purpose of LSU-DAT is:

COLLABORATION AWARENESS SUPPORT & DEVELOPMENT ASSESSMENT & ACTION
Create campus wide collaborations regarding diversity and outreach initiatives Educate and promote campus wide diversity initiatives throughout departments, units, and programs Increase support for campus diversity management professionals responsible for creating a positive and welcoming climate Regularly assess, evaluate, improve, and communicate campus wide diversity efforts.

 

The LSU-DAT Fall 2016 Goals are to:

  • identify campus-wide diversity recruitment and retention strategies, and;
  • to identify concerns, challenges, and opportunities regarding departments, units, and programs’ diversity initiatives.  

 

The LSU-DAT reports to the Dereck Rovaris, Sr., Ph.D., Vice Provost for Diversity & Chief Diversity Officer
