Sixth Annual Take Film Festival Entry Form

Delta Rouge in conjunction with the LSU School of Theatre and the LSU Student Government will be hosting the Sixth Annual Take Film Festival, our annual student Film Festival, in the historic Shaver Theatre on May 3rd, 2020 at 7:00 PM.
The Take Film Festival exists to promote and celebrate the films of all undergraduate/graduate students and alumni from LSU, and universities from across Louisiana. The only eligibility requirement for submission is that you are or were a student from any Louisiana university and have completed a film in 2019 or 2020 that is between 30 seconds and 15 minutes in length.
We will be having film panels during the day on Saturday, May 2nd with industry guests and festival judges – program to be announced in early April. At the screening on May 3rd, the festival judges will award best Directing, Cinematography, Actress/Actor, Editor, Production Design, and Writer, as well as an overall Audience award winner and Best Alumni Film. This year, for the first time, all undergraduate films admitted into contention will also be eligible for a $250 prize.
To be considered for the festival, please complete the online application below and include a link to a Vimeo, Youtube, GoogleDoc or other website where your project can be viewed and downloaded. Remember to include the password if the site is password protected. Upon completion of your submission form, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.
If you are selected for the festival, you will be notified by April 22nd. If you are selected, you will then be required to send a flash drive with a copy of your project and a digital poster. More details and an invitation to a special brunch with guests and judges will be given to those filmmakers who are accepted to the festival.
The festival submissions will open on Sunday, March 1st and the final deadline is Friday, April 17th. Entry fees apply for submissions made after Friday, April 10th. Directors in the festival will receive a free ticket for the festival at 7:00pm May 3rd in the Shaver Theatre at the Music and Dramatic Arts Building on the LSU Campus. All current students are free. Alumni and/or any non-student is $10.
