Scholarship Offerings



The LSU School of Music is pleased to offer a number of scholarship opportunities for the current school year. Please explore the list below and consider applying for any scholarship for which you qualify. Several of the awards have multiple awards at the amount listed, so the opportunity exists for multiple students to benefit.

Applications will require confirmation that you meet the qualifications of the award as well as a personal statement describing award impact. You may apply for more than one award.

The application deadline is Friday, August 30, 2019. No applications will be accepted after this date. A faculty scholarship review committee will determine award recipients.

Criteria: Full-time graduate or undergraduate student.

Award: $1000 for the 19-20 school year. (Awarded $500 per semester)

***Applicants Must Show Financial Need***

To show financial need, you must have a current year FASFA on file with LSU Financial Aid with the determination of qualifying as financial need. Criteria: Full-time undergraduate student at the senior level. GPA is considered.

Award: $500 for the 19-20 school year. (Awarded $250 per semester)

Criteria: Full time undergraduate student in SOM. 3.0 GPA required.

Award: $1000 for the 19-20 school year. (Awarded $500 per semester)

Criteria: Full time graduate student in SOM. 3.0 GPA required.

Award: $1250 for the 19-20 school year. (Awarded $725 per semester)

Criteria: Full time undergraduate or graduate student. 2.5 GPA required.

Award: $500 for the 19-20 school year. (Awarded $250 per semester)
