As Music Ambassadors, we help make the transition to college as smooth as possible by offering support to prospective students and their families as they learn about becoming a member of the LSU School of Music community.

Elana Gleason

Poughkeepsie, New York

Hi there! My name is Elana, and I'm a first year Master's in Vocal Performance. I graduated my undergrad at Bard College in 2009 and took nearly 10 years off to work as a professional singer. I'm really excited to be back in school, honing my craft! Aside from singing, I also enjoy craft beers, trying various cuisines from anywhere and everywhere, doing makeup, and playing with my dog, Fergus.

Evan Hammond

MM, Vocal Performance

Hi, my name is Evan Hammond, and I’m a second-year graduate student pursuing my Master’s of Music in Vocal Performance. Prior to my work at LSU, I received my B.A.M. in Choral Music from the University of North Alabama. I enjoy performing a broad range of repertoire from concert work to opera to musical theatre, and I have had the privilege of singing for many great companies. I’m currently in the voice studio of Professor Dennis Jesse, and I’m highly involved in the LSU Opera Program under the direction of Michael Borowitz and Dugg McDonough.

My name is Ford Lambert, and I am a sophomore majoring in Jazz Studies here at LSU. I am a member of the LSU Jazz ensemble, studio, and chamber group, as well as the trombone studio and choir. You can often find me in Raising Canes or the School of Music office, where I work as a Student Music Ambassador.

Hi! My name is Natalie Marse, and I am a sophomore majoring in Mass Communications and minoring in Spanish. I am involved in the Honors College and in LSU Greek Life. I enjoy reading, writing, and watching movies, and I spend a lot of my time at the Zeta Tau Alpha house.

My name is Kayla and I am a junior majoring in Psychology while minoring in Arts Administration. I work at the School of Music as a Music Ambassador and I also work for as a tour guide for LSU Residential Life. In my free time, you can catch me at the Raising Cane’s dog park with my best friend/puppy, Leo.

Kaley Pichon

Hi there! My name is Kaley Pichon, and I am a freshman majoring in Vocal Music Education here at LSU. I am a member of the Women’s Chorale, the Ogden Honors College, and the Musical Theatre Club. Currently, I am studying in the vocal studio of Dr. Lori Bade. Some of my favorite pastimes include playing the piano and ukulele, writing, reading, drawing, and watching Disney movies! Music has always been a passion of mine, and I aspire to teach children and share the joy of music with them. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to serve my peers as a music ambassador!

My name is Hannah Rice, and I am a freshman majoring in Vocal Performance and Composition. I am a member of the A Cappella Choir and Ogden Honors College, and I plan to become even more involved here at LSU. I also hope to study abroad! In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, hammocking, learning new languages, and, of course, making music! I’m thrilled to be a part of the School of Music at LSU.
