Alumna Cristina Caminita wins National Library Week Contest

Wiley Honors Winner of National Library Week Contest


Cristina Caminita, Head of Research & Instruction Services at Louisiana State University, as this year's winner of the National Library Week contest: Embedded Librarianship. As the Head of Research and Instruction Services, she creates innovative programming designed to assist faculty and students in their research and to support undergraduate and graduate instruction.

Caminita received her MLIS from LSU's School of Library & Information Science in 2006. She received her MA, English Literature (2002), BA, Latin (2000), and BA, English (1998), all from LSU. Her research interests include: 

  • Information Literacy
  • Communication across the Curriculum
  • Gray Literature
  • Digital Libraries
  • Historical Agricultural Literature
