Honoring our University Medalists

The College of Human Sciences & Education is pleased to announce that in this Spring 2016 Class, there are six University Medalists.

The University Medal is presented to undergraduate students who have completed all of the requirements for the bachelor's degree with a perfect 4.0 average. 

Univeristy Medalists


Alli Beth Blanchard is the daughter of Toby and Letty Blanchard of Pierre Part, La. She majored in Kinesiology, Human Movement Science, and minored in Biological Sciences. She has been a member of the LSU Homecoming Court, College Council Vice President, a member of Delta Delta Delta, National Society of Leadership and Success, Rho Lambda Honor Society, Pre Dental Society, and the Autism Awareness Club to name a few. Her favorite class was Cadaver Dissection Lab and her favorite place on campus was Christ the King Library and the Parade Grounds. She says she will miss our beautiful campus when she graduates, especially the beautiful Oaks and broad Magnolia trees. She is grateful to her family who she noted was always positive, supportive, and encouraging. She plans to attend LSU School of Dentistry.


Courtney E. Farnet is the daughter of Greg and Mary Beth Farnet of Mandeville, La. Courtney majored in Kinesiology, Fitness Studies, and while at LSU she personally raised over $62,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in less than two years! Courtney was recognized as LSU's Top Fundraiser Award winner for her philanthropic endeavors. She has been a member of Delta Zeta Sorority, LSU Kinesiology Club, Golden Key Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and is the recipient of numerous awards including the American Kinesiology Association’s National Undergraduate Scholar Award. Her favorite course was Anatomy and her favorite place on campus was the Lakes. Courtney plans to study to become a National Academy of Sports Medicine Master Trainer and hopes to one day open her own health club.


Megan Elizabeth Glahn is the daughter of Paul and Annette Glahn of Baton Rouge, La. Megan majored in Kinesiology, Human Movement Science, and minored in Biology. Megan is a member of Delta Gamma and was a gymnastics coach at Bengal Gymnastics. Her favorite class was Exercise Physiology and her favorite place on campus is Death Valley. After graduating, she will be attending Baylor’s Orthotics and Prosthetics Masters program.


Erin Hebert is the daughter of Cory and Denise Hebert of New Iberia, La. Erin majored in Early Childhood Education in the School of Education. She plans to be a teacher in her hometown of New Iberia.


Austin Jeffery Knight is the son Jeff and Elise Knight of Baton Rouge, La. Austin majored in Sport Administration in the School of Kinesiology with a minor in Business Administration. While at LSU, he worked for LSYOU which stands for Louisiana State Youth Opportunities Unlimited, a year-long career and college preparation program for underserved youth. He also interned with the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student Athletes. His favorite memory of LSU is tailgating and attending sporting events and his favorite places on campus are Tiger Stadium the PMAC and Alex Box. Austin plans to pursue a career in Higher Education working on the academic side of college athletics.


Chloe Elizabeth Nicolosi is the daughter of Christopher and Margaret Nicolosi. Chloe is from New Orleans, La. She majored in Sport Administration in the School of Kinesiology with a minor in Business. Her favorite professor was Dr. Dee Jacobsen. She is a member of Delta Gamma sorority. Her favorite place on campus is the Lakes around sorority row where she runs daily.
