As part of its legislatively mandated mission to investigate, describe, and map the geology of the state, the Louisiana Geological Survey has published two documents in its new State Parks and Lands publication series, as well as two new geologic maps of south Louisiana’s delta plain.

RPSEA 2011 Ultra-Deepwater Technology Conference, 26-27 July 2011, The Woodlands, Texas
The conference will focus on new technology development and research from 29 RPSEA-funded research projects, including safety procedures, measurements, damage identification and remediation of corrosion and blockage in flowlines using autonomous remote control vehicles and advanced telemetry. New information will be presented on reservoirs and wellbores based on seismic and advanced geophysical applications.

LSU Unveils Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
LSU and Entergy officials unveiled electric vehicle car chargers on the LSU campus at a ceremony July 6. LSU mascot Mike the Tiger charged the first vehicle on campus.
