Rose Named ISEM Conference Keynote Speaker


Kenneth A. Rose, associate dean of research and professor, Department of Oceanography and Coastal Sciences, has been asked to serve as a keynote speaker for the International Society for Ecological Modelling (ISEM) Global Conference in May of 2016.

The conference, hosted by Towson University, brings together scientists from all professions and applications that deal with the use of ecological models and systems ecology. Themes include dynamic ecological simulation models, ecological modelling and environmental management, biodiversity and conservation modelling, ecological landscape and land use change modelling and more.

Conference papers will be considered for a special issue in the journal Ecological Modelling.

ISEM, formed in Denmark in 1978, “promotes the international exchange of ideas, scientific results, and general knowledge in the area of the application of systems analysis and simulation in ecology and natural resources management” and has chapters in Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa.
