Student Organizations

The following is a list of all the business college student organizations. It is highly encouraged that students are involved in clubs and organizations in order to enhance their knowledge of the business industry and network with professionals, administrators, and fellow students.

Many organizations are open to students regardless of major. Every fall, the Business College Council hosts Jumping Into Business, where students can meet officers and learn more about student organizations offered in the business college. In order to request more information on joining an organization, please visit their website or contact the faculty advisor or president.

Alpha Kappa Psi

Alpha Kappa Psi is the oldest and largest professional business fraternity in the country. AKPsi is recognized as the premier developer of principled business leaders. We also offer members opportunities to learn about career possibilities both locally and nationally. In addition, we offer local networking opportunities through community service and professional programming as well as opportunities to meet people from all over the country at regional and national conventions. 

All majors are welcome to apply for membership.

Tigers in Tech is an organization that helps students to explore careers in technology. Members connect with business professionals to learn more about employment opportunities and expectations. Professional meetings with speakers are combined with social gatherings for a well-rounded organizational agenda. Any LSU student may join.

Beta Alpha Psi

Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) is a national professional honorary accounting fraternity. LSU's chapter of this organization has achieved superior status in most of the last 15 years. The purposes of BAP include promoting an understanding of the field of accountancy, providing opportunities for self-development, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility. 

Accounting, finance, and information systems undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply and are accepted based on academic performance.

Business College Council

The E. J. Ourso Business College Council exists to provide the college with views, ideas, and values of students, while at the same time advancing and enhancing the college experience for business students. The purpose and goals of the council are to improve students’ awareness of events within the college, to unify the organizations within the college to attain mutual goals, and to serve as a link between students and the administration. E. J. Ourso College of Business students elect the council during Student Government elections.

Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization

The purpose of the Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization is to promote entrepreneurship on the college level by providing an innovative and interactive learning environment. Assistance with career development and creating career goals is provided, while fostering interaction with local entrepreneurs and faculty members.

Delta Sigma Pi

Delta Sigma Pi (DSP) is a professional business fraternity consisting of undergraduate and graduate business majors. The fraternity's professional programs feature prominent business leaders speaking on various business- and career-oriented topics. DSP holds a membership in the Greater Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce. Other activities focus on civic service projects, volunteer services on campus, and social occasions, which can be found the local DSP LSU website.

The Undergraduate Economics/ International Trade and Finance Club serves the needs of students by providing job market information for inquiring employers. The club holds meetings for professional education, occasionally sponsors a field trip to visit various businesses on-site, and hosts a social gathering each semester.

The LSU Chapter of NABA was officially chartered in June of 2011 during the National Convention in Orlando, FL. NABA offers their members many benefits that include: personal and professional development, internships, scholarships, leadership, networking, social events, mentorship, etc.

African Americans and people of color in the accounting, finance, and business-related fields are welcome to join.

National Association of Women MBAs is dedicated to empowering business professionals, to assisting women into leadership positions in business, and to enhancing the diversity of the workforce worldwide. The organization has many resources available to student chapters in the way of career and leadership webinars, online career center and job fairs, newsletters, invitation to Annual National Conference, national event calendar, and discounted subscriptions and services. Our LSU chapter also offers professional networking, social events, and philanthropy opportunities for students currently enrolled in the Flores MBA program.
