Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards Announces Multi-Agency Campaign to Improve Coastal Resilience

BATON ROUGE - Citing the critical danger posed by storm surge and resulting flooding, La. Gov. John Bel Edwards recently announced the Interagency Coastal Storm Surge-Based Flood Risk and Resilience Awareness Campaign, a partnership of state agencies to use "Story Maps" to promote awareness of Louisiana's Comprehensive Coastal Master Plan.

HSRG Releases 2013 Louisiana Traffic Records Data Report

BATON ROUGE - The Highway Safety Research Group at the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business has released the 2013 Louisiana Traffic Records Data Report. According to Helmut Schneider, head of the group and chair of the E. J. Ourso College's Information Systems & Decision Sciences Department, early submission of traffic crash statistics this year is due to the cooperation of more than 190 police agencies in Louisiana and their use of the LACRASH software.

HSRG Releases 2012 Louisiana Traffic Records Data Report

BATON ROUGE - The Highway Safety Research Group at the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business has released the 2012 Louisiana Traffic Records Report. This year's report shows a decrease in driver deaths, but the total highway fatality rate increased mostly due to more deaths involving pedestrians and bicycle riders.
