Flores MBA Program and MPA Program Increase in New U. S. News & World Report Rankings
March 30, 2021
BATON ROUGE – The Flores MBA Program and the MPA Program were recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 Best Graduate Schools rankings that were released today. These programs are designed for prospective students looking to continue their education and advance their careers. They both saw increases in their overall ranking and ranking among public institutions.
The full-time Flores MBA Program jumped one spot to T-68 overall and two spots to 34 among public institutions on the list of 143 ranked programs. It ranked higher than schools like Auburn, Tulane, University of Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State University, and Louisiana Tech.
“We’re very excited to hear about our 2022 U.S. News & World Report ranking,” said Flores MBA Program Director Dana Hart. “It illustrates that we are once again ranked among some remarkable MBA programs across the country.”
In addition, the MPA Program moved up to T-73 overall and 53 among public universities on the list of 284 ranked programs. The LSU MPA Program ranked higher than competitors such as University of Alabama, Mississippi State University, and UNO.
Roy Heidelberg, interim director of the Public Administration Department and associate professor, said, “We are very pleased to see that our peers across the nation recognize the outstanding work done in the LSU Department of Public Administration. For over four decades, we have enjoyed an esteemed reputation in Louisiana and throughout the region, but it is a testament to the successes of our alumni and our excellent faculty that our distinction continues to grow. I have always felt that the LSU MPA program is an undervalued asset in the university, and perhaps recognitions such as this will remedy that. We have a world-class program, and increasingly people are recognizing it.”
