E. J. Ourso College of Business to Host Insightful Conversations Webinar Series Featuring College Faculty

BATON ROUGE- Business professors are way more than balance sheets, sales reports, and stock offerings! The E. J. Ourso College of Business is excited to showcase its faculty’s diverse and exciting knowledge base and groundbreaking research through a webinar series titled, “Open for Business: Insightful Conversations with E. J. Ourso College of Business Faculty.” The first installment of the series takes place on April 13 from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. on Zoom. If you buy or sell things, hire people, work for or run a business, or just want to learn something new, this webinar series is for you.

The webinar on April 13 will feature three E. J. Ourso College of Business faculty members speaking on the following topics:

Courtney Szocs, Assistant Professor of Marketing

Carlos Slawson, C. J. Brown Distinguished Professorship in Real Estate and Professor of Finance

"What Happened with GameStop?"

Rudy Hirschheim, Ourso Family Distinguished Professor of Information Systems

"The Dark Side of Artificial Intelligence/Big Data"

The April 13 webinar will be moderated by James C. Flores Endowed Chair of MBA Studies and Department of Finance Professor Don Chance. After the presentations, attendees are invited to engage with the speakers during the Q&A session.
