2021 Hall of Distinction and Outstanding Young Alum Nominations Now Open
BATON ROUGE – The LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business has long been at the forefront of producing leaders who make significant contributions to the areas of business, academia, government, and the community-at-large. Since 1996, college alumni, emeritus faculty, and friends who have a strong association with the college and have distinguished themselves through their professional and civic achievements have been considered annually for the Hall of Distinction. In honor of the milestone 25th Annual Hall of Distinction, the E. J. Ourso College of Business will hold a special event honoring 2020 and 2021 Hall of Distinction inductees and recognize the first-ever Outstanding Young Alum Award.
Nominations for Hall of Distinction honorees and the Outstanding Young Alum are now being accepted through April 30, 2021.
Individuals eligible for the Hall of Distinction, living or deceased, include LSU and E. J. Ourso College of Business alumni, emeritus faculty, and friends of the college. These individuals have made outstanding contributions in the areas of business, academia, or government, as well as their community. Nominated individuals should have formative associations with the E. J. Ourso College of Business. No individual can be considered while an employee of the university. Consideration will be based on accomplishments across a career and include the individual’s interactions with the college or the university.
Beginning in 2021, in addition to the Hall of Distinction inductees, we are proud to recognize one alumnus who has exhibited great promise in their career and whose early accomplishments distinguish them as an upcoming leader in their profession. Individuals eligible for the Outstanding Young Alum Award should be under 40 years old by the Hall of Distinction event date, have an undergraduate or graduate degree from the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business, and have formative associations with college.
The 2021 Hall of Distinction event will be held on Friday, October 9, 2021* at the Business Education Complex. At this special event, the college will honor the 2021 Hall of Distinction inductees as well as 2020 inductees Dal Miller, Kathleen L. Quirk, Robert K. Reeves, and M. Jack Sanders.
