MPA Program Waives GRE Requirement

April 22, 2020

BATON ROUGE - In light of the current health pandemic's effects on schools and universities throughout the US, the Department of Public Administration at LSU has made a change to the admission procedures for the MPA program. This decision is in accordance with the department's efforts to contain the global spread of the virus while also ensuring that potential applicants can meet the MPA admission requirements despite the on-going health crisis.

The Department of Public Administration will waive the GRE test requirement for Fall 2020 MPA applicants. The MPA application process will still require a strong undergraduate academic performance, three letters of recommendation, explanations of work experience, activities indicating an interest in public management/public policy, and other skills showing the ability to complete a professional program. Students may apply as either a full-time or part-time student. Applications will be accepted through the LSU Graduate School for admission in the fall semester. The deadline to apply is July 15.
