Accardo Appointed to USCA Committee

Greg Accardo, the director, instructor and professional sales advisor at LSU’s Professional Sales Institute and the Department of Marketing, was recently selected as chair of the Industry Innovation & Insights subcommittee, under the Thought Leadership Committee, for the University Sales Center Alliance (USCA). Leaders at USCA like Accardo strive to provide the best education, research, and service to overall improve the sales profession.
“The focus of the Industry Innovation Subcommittee is to be a resource and actively educate USCA stakeholders concerning innovation in sales practice, training and management,” said Accardo. “We hope to achieve these goals by identifying industry innovation related to the sales role, and its practice and disseminating sales knowledge generated from industry innovation that supports and transforms USCA key stakeholders.”
Created in 2002, the University Sales Center Alliance is known for offering an exceptional education in sales. USCA’s mission is to advance the selling profession through setting and monitoring sales program standards, sharing the best practice, enhancing sales curricula, and preparing students for a career in sales. This organization has assisted many universities in this mission and has helped thousands of college students nationwide to achieve great success in the professional sales industry. USCA’s goal is to become an international leader for increasing the credibility and prestige of those pursuing a career in professional selling.
Accardo is an LSU MBA graduate with over 20 years of business experience. In addition to being the director, instructor and professional sales advisor at LSU’s Professional Sales Institute and the Department of Marketing, he also serves as a marketing undergraduate internship advisor. He also serves as a marketing undergraduate internship advisor. In 2018, Accardo was awarded the Outstanding Instructor Teaching Award by the E. J. Ourso College of Business. Both LSU and USCA students pursuing a career in professional sales have greatly benefited from Accardo’s passion, experience and skill. Accardo’s appointment of chairman at USCA is a testament to his extensive knowledge of the industry, his commitment to improving the sales profession, his dedication to developing student’s skills, and his ability to enhance an individual’s trajectory in a professional sales career.
About the Professional Sales Institute
The Professional Sales Institute (PSI) is a partnership between LSU and industry, dedicated to the discovery and dissemination of sales knowledge and to the development of professional sales leaders. PSI offers a professional sales concentration within the Bachelor of Science in Marketing, which consists of three classes – professional sales, sales management, and a sales practicum.
