2019 Tiger Tactics Released

BATON ROUGE - The Department of Accounting at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business has published its annual Tiger Tactics magazine announcing several accomplishments of students, faculty and alumni.
This year’s edition features the unveiling of the Deloitte Foundation Classroom, students competing in Deloitte’s National Audit Innovation Campus Challenge, the 35th year of the Center for Internal Auditing and interviews with student-athletes.
Also highlighted in the magazine is a 2018 Accounting PhD alumna Laura Alford’s five-day cruise on the USS Princeton. During the five-day underway, the five Scientist to Sea members had the opportunity to tour spaces and visit with sailors from every department aboard, as well as witness shipboard operations firsthand.
“In this issue of Tiger Tactics, we bring you another update with Department of Accounting news that spotlights students, alumni and faculty, as well as highlights special events and accomplishments,” said Tommy Phillips, department chair and professor. “Please do not overlook the pages that focus on our accounting student-athletes. Four students answer questions about their ambitions, involvement, classes, favorite things about LSU, and even offer advice. One even mentions Grit, but I can assure you that all of these students possess self-discipline and some serious Grit.”
