LSU Professional Sales Institute Hosts Annual Golf Tournament

BATON ROUGE - The Professional Sales Institute at the E. J. Ourso College of Business will host its 2019 Golf Tournament on April 12, 2019 at the LSU Golf Course. Breakfast is at 7:00 a.m. and the shot gun start is at 8:00 a.m. followed by a lunch and awards ceremony at Walk-Ons Bistreaux & Bar at approximately 12:30 p.m.

The LSU Professional Sales Institute Golf Tournament offers a great opportunity for PSI’s corporate friends to network with Professional Sales students, who in turn gain real-world sales experience and help generate funding for the PSI and its activities.

“The PSI Golf Tournament serves two goals – students engage in ‘real-world’ sales before graduating, and companies and students have the opportunity to network and discuss professional sales careers,” said Greg Accardo, director of the LSU Professional Sales Institute.

Indeed, students are split into groups in the months prior to the event and tasked with selling tournament sponsorships – giving them valuable experience and interactions with industry representatives. In addition, each four-person team in the tournament is made up of three sponsors and one student.

Team sponsorship is $1,000 and hole sponsorship is $250. Additional support activities include donation of gift certificates or merchandise for door-prize drawings and team awards. About the Professional Sales Institute

The Professional Sales Institute (PSI) is a partnership between LSU and industry, dedicated to the discovery and dissemination of sales knowledge and to the development of professional sales leaders. PSI offers a professional sales concentration within the Bachelor of Science in Marketing, which consists of three classes – professional sales, sales management, and a sales practicum. Another component of the PSI assists companies looking for interns and full-time professional sales employees.
