Narayanan appointed Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Outreach

BATON ROUGE - Rajesh P. Narayanan has been selected as the new associate dean for academic affairs and outreach in the Office of the Dean at the E. J. Ourso College of Business. Timothy Chandler, who previously held the position, has been named associate dean for undergraduate programs and assessment. Narayanan is also the chair of the E. J. Ourso College of Business’s Department of Finance and he will continue that role for the next year.

A respected professor with a range of publications on banking, financial markets and financial institutions, Narayanan received his MBA in Finance from Southern Illinois University and his PhD from Florida State University. At LSU, he is the E. Robert Theriot professor; a professor in the Flores MBA Program; and department chair, professor and director of graduate studies-PhD program, Department of Finance.

As associate dean, Narayanan is tasked with broad and significant responsibility in the oversight of human resources associated with faculty, close supervision and control over the college’s budget, academic outreach initiatives, and managing the Business Education Complex.
