BATON ROUGE - The transition from management to the enterprise-level executive is more than just a promotion. It requires development across all aspects of leadership, ranging from communication and networking to relatability and organizational engagement. Experienced professionals who seek to advance to senior or executive-level leadership are encouraged to register for LSU Executive Education’s Executive Development Program or EDP. The next session of this nonconsecutive, six-day program will be held Feb. 17-19, 2020 and March 23-25, 2020.

The program prepares participants to assume broader, leadership responsibilities within an organization. In addition to improving communication, negotiation and decision-making skills, each participant will undergo a comprehensive feedback and coaching process that will offer insight into his or her work and leadership performance. Attendees will have access to an experienced business coach who will assist in developing an individual development plan for the attendee.

"The LSU Executive Development Program experience has been the highlight of my career,” said D. Bailey, vice president of human resources from RoyOMartin. “The opportunity to be surrounded by such a talented group of professionals was a privilege. I feel I now have the basic tools needed for growth in my company. I developed personal relationships with professors, presenters, and classmates that will continue throughout my career. It was evident that the Executive Development Director and staff are truly concerned with my personal growth, as well as my company's growth. Many thanks to all for putting the needed time and effort into this program to make it a success."

The program is a unique combination of experiential learning and interactive group activities. The program is held in the Business Education Complex, home of the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business. The registration fee includes tuition, study materials, online leadership assessments, learning days, professional business coaching, lunches, excursions and refreshments. An early-bird discount is available to those who register before Nov. 15, 2019. There is also a discount available for group registration. The final registration deadline is Jan. 24, 2020.
