Center for Internal Auditing Awards Spring Scholarships

BATON ROUGE – The LSU Center for Internal Auditing awarded scholarships to 14 students. These scholarships are granted each spring.

Cynthia Cooper – Professional Integrity Award

This award is designated for a student in the LSU Center for Internal Auditing Program that has excelled academically and has demonstrated a high level of professional integrity.

Yen Luong, Hanoi, Vietnam
Richard A. Roy – Leadership Award

This award is presented as a memorial to Richard A. Roy to an outstanding student in the LSU Center for Internal Auditing Program who has demonstrated academic achievement leadership, and a commitment to the profession of internal auditing.

Joel Kramer - Leadership Award

This award is designated for a student in the LSU Center for Internal Auditing Program that has demonstrated a high level of commitment and professionalism.

Colleen Reed – Opportunity Scholarship

This award is presented as a memorial to Colleen Reed to a student in the LSU Center for Internal Auditing Program that best exemplifies the motto of the profession "Progress through Sharing."

Corey S. Alemand Excellence in Internal Auditing Scholarship

This award is presented to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the LSU Center for Internal Auditing Program who have demonstrated significant achievement in the LSUCIA program.

About the LSUCIA Program

LSU was endorsed by the Institute of Internal Auditors as the Pilot School in 1985 to develop an innovative educational program in internal auditing. Today the LSUCIA is a center in the IIA Internal Audit Education Partnership Program. The program recruits students from many different business and non-business majors. The LSUCIA program, considered to be the premier internal audit program in the world, is a unique, dynamic educational program.
