HSRG Offers Traffic Crash Investigation Course to Law Enforcement Officers
BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission and Traffic Records Coordinating Committee are funding more training opportunities for law enforcement officers this June – November. These classes are the full Reconstruction Series and will again be hosted by the Louisiana State Police Training Academy in Baton Rouge. The Reconstruction Series, Crash Investigation 1 & 2, Vehicle Dynamics, and Traffic Crash Reconstruction 1 & 2, Classes will be taught by instructors from the Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety. Applications are being accepted now for this training. About the Highway Safety Research Group
The Highway Safety Research Group (HSRG) is responsible for collecting, maintaining, storing, analyzing, and distributing crash-related data captured from law enforcement and other agencies throughout the state of Louisiana. This data is used to perform many research studies and produce an annual fact book. These publications are used by decision-makers in setting policies, projects, and programs to improve the safety of our state's roadways. HSRG is a division of the Stephenson Department of Entrepreneurship & Information Systems within the E. J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University.
