BATON ROUGE – The LSU Flores MBA Association will host its fourth annual charity gala benefiting the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2019, at the Capitol Park Museum, 660 N. Fourth St. in Baton Rouge. Last year, the gala raised more than $18,000 for the new freestanding Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.

Attendees will enjoy music, food and drinks. The black-tie optional event will include a raffle and silent auction. Tickets may be purchased at Admission to the event is $50 per person.

“Each year the MBA Association has grown to donate significant contributions to local organizations, and we are excited to be partnering with the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition for the first time,” said Makayla McManus, president of the LSU Flores MBA Association. “As future business leaders, we believe it is our duty to serve the community around us and commit every effort to enrich the lives of those in the Baton Rouge area. For this year’s gala, with the help of our local sponsors, alumni and community, we hope to raise $10,000 for the BRYC.”

The Baton Rouge Youth Coalition, a local organization dedicated to serving high-achieving, under-resourced high school students with opportunities to enter, excel in and graduate from college. BRYC provides students with individualized educational, personal, and leadership services to allow them to become fully engaged citizens.

“We are honored to be the beneficiaries of this year’s Flores MBA Association Gala,” said Josh W. Howard, managing director of Community Programs. “Our college preparatory organization has served remarkable young people across the Greater Baton Rouge area since 2009, many of whom are continuing their education at LSU. BRYC is a place where students come to excel in their academics and be comfortable to be their true authentic selves. With continued community support from organizations like Flores [MBA Association], we hope to foster that growth for many years to come.”
