Louisiana State University to host Growth Stage Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Military Veterans

November 5, 2019

BATON ROUGEEBV Accelerate, an Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Military Veterans who are current business owners will be hosted by LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business April 27 through May 30, 2020. Twelve veteran business owners, selected from around the country, make up this year’s cohort.

EBV Accelerate is a boot camp style program that provides veterans who currently own a successful business the tools and coaching to propel their business to the next phase: sustainable growth. The veteran’s business must have been in operation for at least three years and must also employ at least three employees to be eligible for the EBV program.  During the program, participants will have the opportunity to create an action plan for their businesses, address growth challenges, network with local entrepreneurs and experience LSU’s rich culture and southern hospitality. EBV Accelerate at LSU strives to ready participants for the challenges and opportunities they will face in growing and sustaining a business for the long term.

Formed in 2008, the EBV Consortium is a national educational initiative, designed to help military veterans make the transition to self-employment, develop professional networks and ultimately start and grow sustainable businesses. The EBV Consortium is composed of nine world-class universities. Today, each of these schools offers an EBV program on their campuses, with Syracuse University serving as the national host for the program. Louisiana State University gained acceptance into the EBV Consortium in 2010.
