September 19, 2018
BATON ROUGE – Gabriele Piccoli, Edward G. Schlieder Endowed Chair of Information Sciences in the LSU Stephenson Department of Entrepreneurship & Information Systems, has been selected as editor-in-chief of MIS Quarterly Executive (MISQE). Piccoli’s three-year term will begin on Jan. 1, 2019.
Dorothy Leidner, the current MISQE editor-in-chief and professor at Baylor University, cited Piccoli’s “strong record of practice-based research and leadership experience in various editorial and conference capacities” when announcing his unanimous selection.
The mission of MISQE is to encourage practice-based research in information systems and to disseminate the results of that research in a manner that makes its relevance and utility readily apparent. Established in 2002, the journal is published in March, June, September and December.
“MIS Quarterly Executive advances research in information systems,” said Piccoli. “I am honored and excited to be chosen as the next editor-in-chief for this well-respected journal.”
