MBA Student Awarded Best Presenter at Baylor Case Competition
November 15, 2018
BATON ROUGE - On November 9, 2018 four second-year Flores MBA students competed at The 12th Annual National MBA Case Competition in Ethical Leadership at Baylor University. The graduate team was comprised of Cayden Bergeron, Polina Dozortseva, Garrett McCaskill and Christopher McGehee. They competed among 12 schools from the south and Midwest.
The purpose of the competition is to advance the development of ethical leaders through experiential learning and to give MBA students a practical outlet for applying classroom learning. This year's case centered on Google and the teams were given 24-hours after receiving the case to prepare and present their solutions.
Among the 2018 winners was Christopher McGehee, who won Best Presenter. McGehee received his bachelor's degree in English literature from LSU in 2016, and is pursuing his MBA with specializations in internal audit and data analytics. McGehee is from Baton Rouge. He has accepted a full-time position with BDO following graduation and will be based in their Houston office.
McGehee said, "This was a great learning experience working with a team to solve a business challenge within 24-hours. Trying to solve Google's ethical dilemmas was a fun way to apply what we learn in our MBA curriculum to a real world scenario. Our team worked great together and it was an awesome opportunity to travel and get to know more about some of my classmates."
Cayden Bergeron received his bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from LSU in 2017 and is pursuing his MBA with specializations in data analytics. Bergeron is from Spring, Tx. He spent this past summer in Denver working as a Risk Advisory intern for Ernst & Young.
