The group raised $4,500 for the hospital during the 2017 gala and set a fundraising
goal of $10,000 for the 2018 event.
“I am very proud of our Flores MBA Association and the work the students put into
the gala,” said Richard White Jr., dean of the E. J. Ourso College of Business. “They
set an aggressive goal to raise $10,000. In the end, they shattered that goal and
brought in $18,020 for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.”
“Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital is incredibly thankful for the generous
support from the Flores MBA Association. They went above and beyond and truly put
on a spectacular event,” said Savannah Murrell, events specialist at Our Lady of the
Lake Foundation. “With these students’ support, we are one step closer to having a
freestanding children’s hospital in Baton Rouge for all of our Amazing patients and families.”
